Mullers auf der Ru in Essen

Today we took 2 menus and 1 dish of the day, each with dessert. The food was delicious. To be recommended at any time👍

The expectations were not met! I ordered Rhenish sauerbraten (€ 24) (pick-up service). Instead of tender slices of meat, there were plenty of thick lumps of meat, not tender and tasty, the sauce tasted like burnt. The worst sauerbraten I have ever eaten. The red cabbage was fresh and tasty, the two small dumplings were expensive average! The service was great and so was the ambience, but the food offered for a lot of money was a big disappointment!

I was a bit amazed when I received the Christmas box from Müller's Restaurantbetriebe GmbH & Co. KG, which I had also ordered there directly from the large company Otto-Gourmet, but my doubts were unfounded. Both the starter (except the blinis were very dry! - then rather round mini pumpernickel) variation of Balik salmon Char caviar | Crème de Bresse | Pickled cucumber | Blinis with Sylt bread from the baker Gaues & salted, French raw milk butter was a successful and tastefully varied, but very balanced start. Then the soup followed, a tasty essence from the Oldenburg duck in Maultaschen. Here I found the filling too coarse and hard, but everything tasted very good. The main course was a buttery and tasty Christmas stew from the Irish Hereford Prime beef (unfortunately the cook completely forgot the salt here!) with smartly seasoned red cabbage, which also deserves its name. | The herbal spaetzle were of the best homemade quality, but the spiced butter could have used significantly more herbs such as rosemary and thyme as well as a fine garlic note. The port wine jus went perfectly with it. At the end there was "MÜLLERS LEBKUCHEN", which didn't look so good visually, but tasted all the more. This was a mushy, thin mass in a small aluminum dish and unfortunately already a bit burnt on one corner. There was also light and not too sweet nougat chocolate mousse from Cru Virunga 70% and a wonderful punch sauce. This dish was a poem and there was hardly any need to add seasoning, except for the Christmas stew. So if the offer is available again next year, I would buy it again. It is probably produced in-house, but is sent by the gourmet wholesaler Otto-Gourmet.

A stylish restaurant in a prime location. The MÜLLERS is located directly at the Rüttenscheider Stern. The television chef Nelson Müller has made it here and has established a restaurant for the fine palate. The staff is professional and friendly. The equipment is modern and stylish. As expected, the food is very good, but it is also in the appropriate price range. The star chef Nelson Müller was personally there and greeted us warmly. I enjoyed the stay and can highly recommend the restaurant.

Friendly and attentive service staff. Otherwise pretty disappointing: small portions that don't justify the price called out. There is also an absolutely uncomfortable atmosphere in the foyer with "through traffic" between the supermarket escalator and the corridor to the parking garage. It's a shame.

Very delicate dishes. Pleasant atmosphere. Prices are appropriate for upscale gastronomy. And here you get the best oysters. P.S. the bread is great ...

I recommend the evening hours when this place transforms into a cosy restaurant / bar. A bit up-market pricing. Special nights with life music events, steak tasting etc... No cocktails!

Unfortunately it has decreased a lot in the last few months but a subjective opinion. The menu is clear, the size of the food is often too small and the price is out of proportion. I think it works better Mr. Müller. But the service is perfect and the praise should be passed on from time to time.

Top service! Very quick and motivated. Unfortunately, the cheese spaetzle were not worth the price. I wouldn't have put it under a salamander, but at least seared it briefly. The wine selection leaves a lot to be desired. Especially when it comes to the red ones with wood. Furthermore, I would be very happy about a Reichsrat von Buhl instead of cheap French champagne.

Very badly organized company, takes PREPAYMENT, charges 70 € if you don't show up ... is in a supermarket where there is an escalator behind a curtain (without a wall) ... Food is okay but very meager (very small portions) for the whole area around it should be more on the plates for the lack of a calm atmosphere.

Simply MEGA !!!!!! The food was great and Mr. Müller stopped by for a moment at the end 😊

Very nice restaurant, great ambience to feel good. We really liked and liked the summer menu. In addition, good wines and nice service. All round a successful evening.

Perfect currywurst !!! We went there for the fabled Currywurst ... and weren't disappointed !! Perfect and never enjoyed such a currywurst !! Everything around it, the side dishes - everything more than the reputation and for an absolutely justified fair price! If you are lucky enough to meet the boss yourself, you will meet a very personable person!

Eaten and drunk very well. The service was very friendly, natural and attentive. We particularly liked Nelson Müller's relaxed manner. A really successful evening. We will repeat more often.

Nice Food, and atmosphere. Yet staff are not friendly at all.

Top quality, as always. I would suggest, however, that the wait staff write down the guest’s order rather than trying to commit it to memory.

Fantastic food and a great overall concept

Terrible service, ignored us several times. Wiener schnitzels were waaay overpriced and just decent, potato salad was a bit sour, the amount of fries was not enough especially since the dish cost 24 euros. Would never go here again. DON'T GO HERE

Yesterday i was with my friends in your restaurant. Since i knew that we will eat with our friends at your location i looked forward to this day. The day came but your serviceteam shocked me and my friends. Your idea of how your team should speak with your guests are disapointing. About the meal or anything else i dont wanna talk because your serviceteam destroy everything. Cu but only in the TV next time
